It is evident that IBA embraces the hard work and achievements of worldwide authors and publishing companies and are fully committed to propelling them to aim high and succeed with excellence. Thank you wholeheartedly for helping the writing industry in general and myself in particular expand our professional horizons and foster exponential growth as highly recognized and most deserving achievers in the field of writing.” —Michele Wright, Ph.D., Author, DEAR SUCCESS SEEKER: Wisdom from Outstanding Women, Atria/Simon & Schuster
“This is the organization to join and support. They care about the authors. I've been involved with other so-called independent book awards and they don't read the books! American Book Fest does. Good people, honest and true. You have my support! Stay the course and keep fighting for all authors on a fair field. Kudos! “
—Steven Ray Ozanich, Author

“Thank you for the recognition in awarding The Gilded Prospect as a Finalist in the Adventure Fiction category. I am taking a moment to offer some expressions regarding the International Book Awards. Before entering, I invested hours performing extensive research for multiple novel contests. There are many in the writing community so jaded with cynicism regarding any contest requiring an entry fee that I find difficulty fathoming why such pessimistic personalities spend the countless hours and solitude needed to create either a novel or non-fiction book. Why do I make such a statement? The answer is simple. As an author yourself and publishing professional, there is a single truth trumping natural writing talent, profound imagination, professional networking, or even intellectual prowess – the Golden Force of a writer’s belief in himself. Without it, there are no words. If this award’s recognition signifies one certainty above all else, it is a bolstering of this Golden Force and associated encouragement. I have known and worked with some writers of incredible talent and unending writing gifts but, their self-belief was so diminished that at the first resistance, the gift was (and still is) abandoned. I cannot state it with anymore clarity than expressed on my website:
‘If you desire to take the ultimate challenge, the leap of faith, understand reality – it’s hard work. In fact, it may be the most difficult challenge you will ever choose. Doing it for money? Forget it. Doing it for fame? Forget it. Doing it because voices in your head for as long as you can remember refuse silence until scrawled across a piece of paper? Now you’re getting somewhere.’
Whatever detractors you may ever encounter – never forget that the International Book Awards are not just another award but a perpetuating reinforcement of the Golden Force in all of us.” —Phil Thurman, Author

“I was deeply honored that my book, The Great Pain Deception, was a Finalist in 2 categories for the International Book Awards. This award meant more to me because there were no politics involved or constant sales pitches asking for "extra dues." They were consummate professionals throughout the process. The International Book Awards gives the smallest publishers the same chance as the big publishing houses. They proved this to me when I saw my book ahead of some of the largest publishing houses. The quality of work and the message conveyed is what they look for. Who it comes from doesn't matter, and to me, that makes this award more of an honor to receive. Thank you!” —Steven Ozanich, Author
